Opening receptions at the Museum are a great opportunity to preview the exhibit and meet the artists. Enjoy wine with appetizers while mingling with other art patrons.
The Museum of Geometric and MADI Art hosts openings for all of its new exhibits, as well as special music events and hands-on workshops taught by artists. The Arcadia Salon Discussion Series features artists, collectors, and educators leading a open conversation on relevant topics in the contemporary art scene.
Most museums make me feel a bit sedated — cool marble, soothing colors, the unspoken admonition to stay calm. The Geometric and MADI Museum had the exact opposite effect: I felt like I’d just jumped headlong into a giant gumball machine, and I mean that in the best possible way. The explosion of color and movement yields artwork that’s happy, ebullient and spirit-raising.
