The artist of the month for May is local resident Lane Banks.

About the Artist

Lane Banks works and lives in Dallas, Texas. He is known for his abstract, geometric paintings, sculpture and drawings with black, white, gray and silver pigments. His work is mathematical in concept and geometric in appearance. Banks teaches informal courses on the history of Modern art at Southern Methodist University, The Dallas Museum of Art, and the Nasher Sculpture Center. His work is also installed at DFW Airport. He is a recipient of a grant from the Pollock Krasner Foundation.
