Martha Rodriguez was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1956 and has lived in Paris since 1980. She has exhibited in over 50 group shows since 1991 including art fairs, galleries and museums in France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, Spain, Egypt, Venezuela and the United States. Her solo exhibits include the Venezuelan Embassy to France and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas Venezuela.
Her work is sculpture composed with wire, plexiglass and green glass.
MADI is a great artistic adventure, and perhaps, the only existing movement which can justify half a century of existance. MADI is more than an avant-garde movement; it has an underlying wave with several and differing offspring. It is the slow-paced growth of a tectonic plate in the history of art. Indeed, since art and environment are perveived as the fusion of two cultural phenomena, the progression and expression of both of these blend in everyday life.
