“Working in a figurative way till 1964 did not give me the solution to my needs. In an experimental style, I started to search for the answer which led me to abstract forms in black and white. Later on in the 70’s, I started to examine the colors in their density and reached abstract geometry. Using elementary forms in compositions let the form be seen as is. The answer came to me in the 80’s: how the form behaves in space and what color it must be-all that has resulted in my work in the last years.”

MADI is a great artistic adventure, and perhaps, the only existing movement which can justify half a century of existance. MADI is more than an avant-garde movement; it has an underlying wave with several and differing offspring. It is the slow-paced growth of a tectonic plate in the history of art. Indeed, since art and environment are perveived as the fusion of two cultural phenomena, the progression and expression of both of these blend in everyday life.
